The flowers start as tiny, spiral-shaped button-like structures at the margins of the stems. The hermaphroditic flowers grow 25-30 cm long, with a white inner surface and a greenish-yellow outer surface adorned with purple streaks. The flowers are fragrant, bloom exclusively at night, and last for only one night.
Flowering Time – May – August (at Raipur Condition)
Nocturnal flower start opening in evening (6.30-7.30 pm), anthesis is complete around 10.00 pm -12.00 am and it begin to close by 2.00 am. From May to October, there are six to seven flowering waves that last for a period of thirty days each
