Powdery Mildew

Causal organism – Oidium sp.

Symptoms:

  • Distinct white, floury patches develop on the leaflets, most commonly affecting younger leaves.
  • These patches gradually expand, and within 7–10 days may cover the entire leaf lamina. This progression has been notably observed during November–December under Godhra conditions.
  • As the infection progresses, the patches often turn slightly pinkish or grayish in appearance.
  • Tender shoots are also susceptible and may exhibit similar signs of infection.
