What is leaf spot?
Leaf spots (Anthracnose) are categorized as discoloured, diseased area on a leaf that is caused by fungus.
Causal Organism – Colletotrichum gloeosporioides
Symptoms:
- The primary symptom appears as dark brick red spots on both the surface of leaves, which upon maturity become greyish, and studed with dark colour pin head spots.
- The leaves with such spots defoliate prematurely.

Mode of spread:
The fungus spreads through wind and overwinters on old leaves.
Management-
